After studies in Sydney, and later Spain with several guitar masters, Peter began a professional music career with a variety of concert, recording, and teaching activities in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. He is a teacher with some 35 years’ experience in music education, and has conducted extensive research into the fundamental aspects of student learning and development in relation to teaching methodology.
Consequently, he is also an author in the field of music publishing and his instruction book series “The Art of Classical Guitar” and “Guitar for Kidz” have received international recognition and are used around the world by students and teachers of the classical guitar.

He has held Lecturer positions at the Universities of NSW, ECU, Churchlands CAE, and given masterclasses as a visiting artist at various tertiary institutions in both NZ and Australia. In recent years he has been a Senior Instrumental Teacher with the WA Dept. of Education, has acted as an advisor and consultant for the state Curriculum Council, and been a guitar examiner for the AMEB in WA.
He has been a featured artist in articles published by various industry periodicals -The Australian Guitar Journal, Music Teacher Magazine, and Guitar International (UK).
